The NVIDIA RTX 4000 and AMD Radeon RX 7000 will consume more, and AMD has switched sockets to support more power.
There were 22,040 responses and 85.5% of people totally disagreed with the high consumption of PC components.

Almost 85% users think that it is a great problem for normal users. They are tired to pay the extra electricity bills.
There are no longer any presentation slides from AMD, Intel or NVIDIA stating how little their products consume.
But instead they are now sold as “performance/watt ratio “because they know that the components consume more.
The survey contemplated several possible answers:
- I don’t care (12%).
- Yes, for the electricity bill (34%).
- Yes, because of the heat (29%).
- Yes, because of the sound (11%).
- Yes, for the environment (12%)
It is a survey conducted by TheByersTrend in April and 22,040 people responded. It is clear to us that what matters most to us is when the decisions of the manufacturers affect our pocket, and I am not referring to the purchase price.
Our TPU colleagues followed the trend of consumption generation after generation of components, emphasizing graphics cards because they are the ones that consume the most of all:
- GTX 980 Ti -> 211W at full load.
- GTX 1080 Ti -> 231W at similar loads.
- RTX 2080 Ti – > 273W in gaming.
- RTX 3090 Ti -> 445W in gaming.
It is clear that there are configuration differences in the system, but we care about the individual consumption of each one. It is true that it is very high in the case of the RTX3000.
Little optimism ahead with the NVIDIA RTX 4000.We will see consumption increases in all GPUs, and it is something that we have noticed in recent months.

Moore’s Law is in focus, and if it’s true, there has to be a significant increase in Ada Lovelace’s performance over Ampere without having to increase the power much.
